I recently decided to set my alarm to half volume. A bit more peaceful to wake up to, and it stops me from having a heart attack when I wake up. Not sure of the science behind it, but an alarm that puts you into a panic in the morning just can’t be good for you.
Each day is a new start, and today’s start was at 4:05am. Gym time. After skipping Monday/Tuesday I finally pulled it together. And man do I feel great. I get to work early, can relax with a cup of coffee and a protein shake, and write this blog. Perfect.
To be honest, its crazy how much better I feel after working out, and if I skip a morning workout I regret it the entire day, which makes it even crazier that I can skip it in the first place. If you’ve never gotten up early to workout before school/work I can’t suggest it enough. Day 1 of early morning gym is the hardest and then it gets so easy. Besides, it also feels nice knowing that you are doing something that most everyone else wont.
It’s just one way that you can be disciplined. And discipline in one part of your life WILL carry over into others.
If anyone reads this – thank you.
I hope you too will give the early morning gym a chance. Who knows, you might like it as much as I do.
